Join us for our first meeting of the new school year! For your convenience, we will hold two sessions on October 24th: one at 9:00 a.m. and another at 6:00 p.m. Both meetings will take place in Room 11 at the District Office. We hope to see you there!

📢 DON'T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! 📢
With the holiday season and many field trips coming up, we’ll need volunteers at our schools. Unfortunately, DOJ/FBI fingerprint results can be delayed—sometimes by a few months, even if your record is clear! To avoid any last-minute issues, we STRONGLY recommend completing your volunteer clearance as soon as possible - just to be safe!
Here’s how to get started:
🔗 Link to volunteer forms: https://www.ouesd.k12.ca.us/page/school-and-classroom-volunteers
(Forms can also be picked up at any school site or the district office.)
✅ What to Submit:
-Volunteer Application
-Code of Conduct Form
-Photocopy of Driver's License or ID (We can make a copy at the District Office.)
-DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Free for volunteers through OUESD by appointment. We can't reimburse for prints done elsewhere.)
-Submit completed documents via email to volunteers@ouesd.k12.ca.us or drop them off at the District Office.
Once we’ve reviewed your documents and cleared your fingerprints, you’ll receive a volunteer badge with your name. Badges can be picked up at the school site.
❓ FAQs:
• Do I need to reapply and fingerprint each school year?
No! Your clearance is valid until you opt out or if there’s an issue with your fingerprint record.
• Do I need to fingerprint again if I’ve done it for another agency or district?
Yes! Fingerprint results are only shared with the agency that requested them. Each district must process them separately for safety and consistency.
• Can I volunteer while waiting for my fingerprint results?
Unfortunately, no. Delays can occur, and we must receive your DOJ/FBI results before processing your application. To avoid delays, please fingerprint as soon as possible.
