OUESD College and University Partnerships
At OUESD, we believe that building strong educator pipelines starts with meaningful partnerships. We are proud to collaborate with a dynamic network of Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) that share our commitment to excellence, equity, and innovation in education. Together, we create real-world pathways for aspiring teachers, counselors, and leaders to learn, grow, and thrive—right here in our schools.
These partnerships allow us to “grow our own”—offering local, affordable, and supported paths into the education profession. From student teaching to credentialing to leadership development, our IHE partnerships are a cornerstone of OUESD’s commitment to investing in people.

OUESD is proud to partner with National University, offering our employees and their families a tuition discount and a flexible pathway to earning credentials or degrees. Santa Clara County Office of Education: Flexible Credential Pathways
OUESD partners with the Santa Clara County Office of Education’s Educator Preparation Program to offer flexible, affordable options for earning your Multiple Subject, Mild/Moderate Support Needs (MMSN), or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) credentials. Even better? You can pursue a dual credential in both general and special education—opening doors and expanding your impact in the classroom from day one!
Far East Contra Costa County Consortium Induction Program
OUESD collaborates with the Far East Contra Costa County Consortium, hosted by Brentwood Union School District, to offer an outstanding Induction Program for early-career teachers. Through this initiative, new educators receive personalized mentorship, job-embedded professional learning, and peer networking—ensuring a strong start in their teaching journey and lasting success in our classrooms.
