Our Student Leadership absolutely crushed it at our Home Alone Pajama Rally today! I honestly can't remember the last time I had this much fun at a rally! A huge shout out to Ms. Billings, our Student Leadership and all our staff who participated to make this a great time for our students.

We broke bread as an entire staff today at our annual holiday feast. This is a long-standing tradition at Delta Vista. A tradition that speaks to the family we have created here with one singular goal of making Delta Vista a place where all students and staff feel valued, welcomed and supported. Many thanks to all who played a role in making today happen.

Our WEB Leaders, led by Mr. Dong, taught a lesson called "Stick to the Good Stuff" today. WEB Leaders taught our 6th graders about how saying something or doing something negative can have a negative impact towards others and you can't take back what you said or did to that person. WEB Leaders instructed 6th graders to write positive words and phrases on labels and place those labels on each other. The goal of the lesson was to lift each other up with positivity to make Delta Vista a nicer place for everyone. WEB stands for Where Everybody Belongs.

Ms. Dado facilitated our CogAT testing today. We use the CogAT to help us understand students' instructional needs and make placement decisions, such as for gifted and talented programs in the OUESD.

We want to recognize the Langley Family for the generous donation of the new chairs for our Staff Lounge and Office. The previous chairs had definitely seen better days. We are so thankful for the support and contributions the Langley Family provide our school.
