PARENTS & STUDENTS
Please be aware that Virtual instruction/services are provided exclusively for educational purposes for District students. Parents, students and/or others are not authorized to audio or video record, stream, or share in any way, any virtual instruction or services. This includes instruction or services provided via telephone or a video conferencing platform.

HAVING TROUBLE LOGGING INTO CLASS?

If you are having tech issues when attempting to login into class do the following:

  1. Restart your internet browser (ex Chrome)

  2. Clear your cache/history

  3. Switch internet browsers

  4. If all of that does not work the next step is if you know how to restart your router, restart it.

  5. Remove any devices from your wifi that are not necessary for school. ( Xbox, Smart TV, phone, etc)

If this does not solve the issue:

  1. Take a screenshot with the date and time and showing what the screen says. 

  2. Send the screenshot to your teacher through the chat message feature on Google Classroom.

  3. Call the tech support hotline (925) 625 - 5061.

CLASSLINK

Students use ClassLink to access various applications for classes.
In order to login, please refer to the printed schedule provided to you at registration, for your student’s ID #. You will need the ID # for your username and password format.

Username:  First 3 letters of First Name 
                      First 3 letters of Last Name 
                      Last 3 numbers of Student ID,
Example:  For student, Jane Doe:  jandoe789@ouesd.k12.ca.us

Password: First letter of First Name 
                    First letter of Last Name 
                    Full Student ID #
Example:  jd123456789

For new and incoming 6th graders, you must enter your username and password; then, click Sign-In, NOT sign in with Google.

For 7th and 8th graders, you can continue to sign-in the same way as last year.

**Upon signing-in, ALL students should check the My Backpack App on ClassLink and Google Classroom for assignments, announcements, and live instruction links. 

Sign in to ClassLink by clicking on the blue ClassLink Logo below. 

BACKPACK

The Backpack app on ClassLink gives students a place to see all of their classes and launch apps assigned to those classes. 

ZOOM/WEBEX TIPS

Helpful tips for some Zoom/connectivity issues:

1. Turn off any devices in the house that utilize wireless such as TV’s,
     Game boxes, and anything else that streams using wifi. 

2. Take Cell phones off  Wifi during video conferencing meetings &
    silence them. 

3. Increase internet service at home if necessary. 

4. Add Wireless Boosters in the home – about 1 - 2 per every 1000 sq.
    feet (more open concept home – 1 unit should be good).

5. Contact Cell phone vendor to turn phone into a hotspot – many
    providers are still offering unlimited data at no additional cost.
