This is a friendly reminder that our first DELAC meeting this school year is on November 9th; English Session at 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Session in Spanish at 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. We will discuss the DELAC overview, ELPAC results, DELAC site representatives, EL program overview, and district information. Please join us, as your input is valuable to us.
Celebrating Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at Delta Vista today, one of the most important celebrations in Mexico. Students had fun and engaged in educational activities during their lunch period, including watching the movie, "Coco," Loteria (Mexican Bingo) and Arts & Crafts. Many thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Fernandez, Mrs, Barajas, Mrs. Ordaz, Mr. Conley and all staff who made this possible, including our Superintendent Palmquist who paid us a visit and participated in the festivities.
Delta Vista students participated in food tasting to provide the OUESD Food Services Department with their input about menu items.

Our students took a break from their studies today to learn from Corey the Dribbler, former Harlem Globetrotter, with his message about perseverance, respect for others and always doing your personal best. A huge thank you to Assistant Principal, Mrs. Morse, for bringing Corey to our school!

Meet Mr. Berridge, 7th & 8th Grade PE Teacher. 1st year at Delta Vista. He's often referred to as "The Pickle." Why? Because he's kind of a "big dill..." Thanks for choosing Delta Vista, Mr. Berridge.
Many thanks to School Counselors Mr. Wilson and Mr. Fernandez for bringing TUPE to educate our students during our lunch period today. TUPE stands for Tobacco-Use Prevention Education program. Always supporting our students to make the right choices.

Dear Delta Vista Families,
As you’re likely aware, we experienced an earthquake this morning in the Far East Bay Area, with an epicenter near the Bethel Island area. Please click here for more details regarding the event as well as some preparation resources.
I want to share I was pleased to witness that our consistency with practicing our emergency preparedness drills paid off throughout the course of this event today. I’m very proud of how both our students and staff responded to this event today.
Please remind your children to always pay attention during our emergency preparedness drills and to listen closely to the instructions from staff.
