Dear Almond Grove Families,

I am honored and excited to introduce myself as the new principal of Almond Grove Elementary School. It is a privilege to join such an outstanding school community, and I look forward to partnering with you to ensure that every student continues to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

I live in the Knightsen area with my wife and our kids. I enjoy being outdoors, whether doing chores, hiking, or kayaking on the Delta. Our animals also keep us busy and smiling, including fostering puppies several times per year in partnership with the Antioch Animal Shelter. 

As an educator with 27 years of experience, including 14 years as an elementary school principal, I have always believed that strong relationships and open communication are the foundation of a successful school. When families, staff, and students work together, we create an environment where children feel supported, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential. That is really important to me. 

I am grateful for the strong foundation that already exists at Almond Grove. The dedication of our staff, the involvement of our families, and the enthusiasm of our students have helped create a school culture that is welcoming, inclusive, and focused on learning. My goal is to build upon these strengths while continuing to foster a sense of belonging, curiosity, and excellence for every child.

As I begin this new role, I look forward to getting to know our students and families, hearing your perspectives, and learning what makes Almond Grove such a special place. I value collaboration and believe that the best outcomes for students come from working together with a shared commitment to their success.

I am excited for the year ahead and the opportunities we will have to learn, grow, and celebrate together. Thank you for welcoming me into the Almond Grove community. I look forward to meeting each of you and partnering with you in support of our students.
