Welcome to a New School Year at Summer Lake Elementary!

It is with great excitement and heartfelt appreciation that I introduce myself as the new principal of Summer Lake Elementary School. I am truly honored to be joining this wonderful school community and eager to begin this journey alongside each of you.

My path in education has been both diverse and deeply fulfilling — from classroom teacher to instructional coach, assistant principal, special education teacher, and coordinator. Most recently, I served as an Executive Director/Principal. In addition to my professional background, I’m also a proud mom of three college-aged children, which gives me a unique perspective as both an educator and a parent.

At the core of my leadership is a deep belief in the power of relationships. Building strong, trusting connections with students, families, and staff is central to my work. I believe that when we come together through open communication and mutual respect, we create the strongest foundation for our children to thrive — academically, socially, and emotionally.

I also value longevity, consistency, and community. My goal isn’t simply to serve as principal, but to truly become part of the Summer Lake family. I’m here to learn about the traditions, strengths, and dreams that make this school so special — and to contribute to a shared vision of excellence that will grow stronger with time.

In the weeks ahead, I look forward to meeting you — whether that’s during drop-off, at a school event, through a conversation, or over email. Your stories, insights, and hopes for your children are important to me, and I welcome every opportunity to connect.
