Dear Gehringer Elementary Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

As we begin another exciting year together, I am honored to serve as the principal of Gehringer Elementary and to continue working alongside our incredible students, families, and staff. The start of a new school year brings fresh opportunities for learning, growth, and connection, and I am thrilled to welcome both returning and new families to our Cub community.

At Gehringer, our mission is to provide a high-quality education that supports both academic achievement and the social-emotional growth of every student. We want all of our Cubs to feel safe, valued, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. We believe that learning thrives in an environment where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is practiced, and every child feels a true sense of belonging.

This year’s school theme, “Together We ROAR, Together We SOAR,” reflects the spirit of our school community. As Cubs, we know that success is not achieved alone. When students, staff, and families work together, support one another, and celebrate each other's strengths, we create a school where everyone can thrive. Our theme reminds us that every member of our community plays an important role in helping one another succeed. By embracing our Cub pride and working together toward common goals, we can accomplish amazing things and soar to new heights.

Our school culture is guided by the Cubby Code: Be Safe, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. These expectations serve as the foundation for how we learn, interact, and grow together each day. Through strong relationships, clear expectations, and a commitment to helping every student succeed, we strive to create a positive and welcoming environment for all.

Family partnerships are an essential part of our success. Whether through volunteering, attending school events, participating in school activities, or staying connected with your child’s teacher, your involvement makes a meaningful difference. We value your support and encourage open communication throughout the year. If you ever have questions, concerns, or ideas, please do not hesitate to reach out.
