Extended Day Learning Centers: Beginning with the 2011-2012, the Oakley Union Elementary School will be offering before and after school childcare at each of the elementary school sites. These centers are called the Extended Day Learning Centers (EDLC.) Complete application packets are available at each of the elementary school sites. For your convenience, the forms are also available below. Many of your questions will be answered by information in the Extended Day Learning Center Handbook. If you still have questions after reviewing the handbook, you can contact Tammy Gonis, the Program Coordinator for the EDLC, at 625-6365. Flyer Distribution to Students: The District understands that local community groups and/or businesses may want to distribute flyers to students from time to time to alert students and their families of events. All such flyers must be approved by the Superintendent prior to be distributed. Effective July 1, 2007, these flyers will only be approved and distributed by the schools once per month, on the last school day of the month. Please plan accordingly. Submit the Permit for Flyer Distribution along with a copy of the flyer to the District Office at 91 Mercedes Lane. You may also email the completed form and flyer or fax them to 925-625-1863. Once the flyer is approved and returned to you, you will be responsible for delivering the flyers directly to the sites, bundled pursuant to the break-down numbers at the bottom of the permit at least five days before the last school day of the month.
